Second ITMA ASIA + CITME exhibition draws overwhelming support

17 December 2009 – ITMA ASIA + CITME 2010 has received very strong support from textile machinery makers as the world economy continues its recovery momentum. With over six months still to go before the second combined show, over 95 per cent of the exhibition space has already been sold.

To-date, applications grossing over 95,000 square metres have been received from over 1,000 exhibitors. Chinese manufacturers make up the biggest country group, booking almost 50 per cent of the space, with European and Japanese manufacturers taking more than 35 per cent.

ITMA 2011 to showcase entire textile and garment value chain with spotlight on innovation

26 November 2009 – CEMATEX, the European Committee of Textile Machinery Manufacturers, has announced that ITMA 2011, to be held in Barcelona (Spain) from 22 to 29 September 2011, will be the world’s most comprehensive, one-stop platform for textile and garment makers.

Showcasing the entire value chain from spinning to garment making, textile processing, technical textiles, logistics and distribution, the exhibition marks the 60th anniversary of the ITMA brand. The slogan of the 2011 show, ‘Master the Art of Innovation’, underscores CEMATEX’s commitment to help the world’s textile industry innovate and face up to the challenges of globalisation and sustainability, and the event offers manufacturers a vital solutions platform that will keep the industry focused and competitive.

ITMA ASIA + CITME 2010 exhibition attracts strong support despite economic challenges

12 June 2009, Shanghai - Despite the current global economic woes, textile machinery makers remain confident about the long-term prospects of the textile industry in Asia, especially China. They have given the show owners of ITMA ASIA + CITME 2010 a vote of confidence by signing up for space in the second combined show.

Although application forms were only issued last month (the deadline for submission is September), show owners CEMATEX and its Chinese partners - the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT (CCPIT-Tex), China Textile Machinery Association (CTMA) and China International Exhibition Centre Group Corporation (CIEC) - have already received applications from all the key industry players, as well as strong support from various partners and industry associations.
